My name is Bruce Walker and I am a Portland, Oregon-based photographer and writer. I have taken many photographs in my life, from the jungles of Asia, the streets of Havana, to the battlefields of Iraq and other places known and unknown.

My portraits are made to capture a moment and convey emotions, and so consequently evoke emotions. Landscape and abstract images on the other hand are made to simply evoke emotions, for even the most breathtaking landscape is itself emotionless. Then there is the animal portrait that is a strange combination of the two. In the end to show and evoke human emotion is the goal of all art, and the artist's life is one of failures and successes. I have had my share of both.

I specialize in portraits, though I enjoy shooting and producing still-life, landscape and abstract images. I have shown all those various types of photographs at art galleries in Portland and on the Oregon coast.
